caring for your flowers

Get the most from your flowers by following a few handy hints and tips to make them last as long as possible.

HAND-TIED BOUQUETS

Pop your flowers in fresh water as soon as you can, re-trim stems at a 45 degree angle and refresh the water every few days. Keep your flowers away from fruit and direct sunlight.

GIFT BOXES

If your flowers are already in a water source (gift box) either top up with fresh water every few days or for longer lasting flowers, take out of the box and carefully undo twine and empty water from cellophane and put in a vase as above.

EVERLASTING FLOWERS & WREATHS

Put your dried flowers in a vase of your choice and trim stems to the required length. Place your flowers and wreaths away from direct sunlight to avoid fading and away from direct heat, damp and draft. To dust your dried flowers, blow gently with a hair dryer on a low setting.

FRESH WREATHS

Hang your fresh wreath using wire, a wreath hanger or ribbon as required. If your wreath has a moss base, keep it moist by misting the moss with water every few days. If your wreath is under a porch or a covered area, mist it with water every week.
